Poinsettia

This beautiful Christmas Poinsettia is stitch painted on 18 mesh canvas and measures 6 x 5 1/2 and includes a stitch guide.  The stitches are a bit challenging but the end result is spectacular.  This piece was originally designed to be finished with a four thread float around the design and then mounted on a lucite pole to be inserted into a houseplant for the holidays.  As you can see by the model, this one finished in an octagon shape using the background stitch in the instructions.  It was then appliqued onto the front of a silk pillow edges with a cord.    The partial view shows a close-up of the stitches as well as the optional attached Swarovski crystals adding another level of bling to your flower
